WHERE WE ARE
THE AMIATA MOUNT, STILL A SECRET
Pescina, Seggiano, in the heart of the Tuscany you don't expect.

MOUNT AMIATA
An extinct volcano you can still hear
Monte Amiata is an extinct volcano. It has not erupted for some 180,000 years, but you can still feel its energy, in the chestnut and beech woods that cover its flanks, in the silence that is unlike that of any other place, in the seasons that really change here.
Pescina is a hamlet of Seggiano, Grosseto. It is not a postcard place. It is a real place, with a real history.
THE PANORAMA
The window on the Val d'Orcia
From the west-facing dining room window, you can see the vineyards and olive groves of Seggiano and Montalcino in the foreground, those same olive trees that produce the Seggiano DOP oil that we finish on the Scottiglia. Then the Val d'Orcia that opens up towards the Maremma. And every evening, one of the most beautiful sunsets in Tuscany.

“Monte Amiata is not yet on everyone's lips. It is still a secret, in the best sense.”
